Daybook

Privacy Policy

Daybook — Android & iOS  ·  Last updated: September 21, 2026

Daybook ("the app") is a habit-tracking app that runs entirely on your device. This policy explains what data is and is not collected.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Every habit, completion, and setting you configure in the app is saved locally on your device and never leaves it.

Advertising

The app displays ads served by Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and app-open ad formats). AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID (Android) or IDFA (iOS) to show personalised ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

On iOS, the app presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on first launch. If you deny tracking, the app continues to function normally and AdMob serves non-personalised ads instead.

You can opt out of personalised ads at any time through your device settings:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for this app

Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

PermissionPurpose
NotificationsTo deliver the reminders you set for each habit.
Receive boot completedTo reschedule your habit reminders if the device restarts.
InternetTo load ads from Google AdMob.

Children's Privacy

Daybook is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The app contains advertising served by Google AdMob, which is not permitted in child-directed apps under COPPA or GDPR-K.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
